PCN Founder Bill Bland Dead at 91

Chapel Hill. NC-The William F. Bland Co., publisher of Petrochemical News (PCN), is sorry to report the death on Thursday, 29 May of our founder, husband, father and grandfather William (Bill) F. Bland (Bill) at the age of 91. Bill resigned as president of William F. Bland Co. on 31 December 1996, just five days before his 80th birthday. He remained as an active chairman of the company until his death, and continued for several years after he resigned to travel for the business as what he referred to as our "roving correspondent." One of the aspects of this business he most enjoyed was traveling and meeting people, particularly those in the petrochemical industry.
