Sinopec & Mitsubishi Chemical Form JV For Polycarbonate. Bisphenol A Project

Beijing-China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. (Sinopec) and Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corp. have established an equally-owned joint venture to produce polycarbonate and bisphenol A in Beijing, China, local industry sources said. The new venture will invest approximately $321-million to build a facility with the capacity to produce 60,000 t/y of polycarbonate and 150,000 t/y of bisphenol A.
