Sibur Renovates Nitrogen, Oxygen Unit To Supply Volzhskiy Chemical Plants

Moscow-Sibur has completed a renovation of the nitrogen and oxygen facility, which provides industrial gases to Sibur companies within the Volzhskiy chemicals complex in Russia's Volgograd region. A decision to revamp the plant was made following an emergency shutdown of one of the air separation units in 2005. The project involved the installation of new equipment for gasification and storage of liquid and gas nitrogen and has resulted in enhanced product quality, reduced production costs and lower operating risks, Sibur explained.
