Effects of acaricide resistance on life history parameters of Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari: Tetranychidae)

In this paper results of two life table assays with resistant and susceptible populations of two-spotted spider mite. Tetranychus urticae Koch, are presented. The assays were tamed out at the beginning and the end of period in which resistance to ovicidal and ovolarvicidal activity of clofentezine, dicofol and pyridaben increased several times. In both assays, resistant females laid more eggs than the susceptible ones, but the intrinsic rate of increase, estimated by "jackknife" method, were slightly and insignificantly higher in the susceptible population than the intrinsic rate values in resistant populations (0.334 to 0.326, and 0.261 to 0.250). Substantial difference between proportion of female offspring (sex ratio) was found the proportion of female offspring in the susceptible population was 0.69 (in the first assay) and 0.70 (in the second assay)while the proportion of female offspring of the resistant population was 0.49 in both measurements.
