摘要

The resistance of roses to Sphaerotheca pannosa var. rosae was studied in relation to calcium nutrition and the cuticle. Generally, the calcium content of the varieties First Red, Leonidas and Texas followed a curve imposed by the nutrient solution. A correlation was observed between the level of tolerance to the pathogen (First Red > Texas and Leonidas) and the ability to accumulate calcium. The influence of leaf age and genotype (or cultivar) on evapotranspiration was not clearly established. It is concluded that calcium nutrition appeared to play a role in the cuticular response to the pathogen.
