摘要

An integrated technology for coordinated design of all components of computer vision systems (CVS) including optical system, lighting, hardware, and software, is proposed. Key design solutions include a distributed architecture of hardware and software tools for video data acquisition/processing and archiving subsystem with access to multimodal post-processing, original pragmatic compression technology for video data on the rolling stock, a glare-free lighting system that ensures high illumination uniformity across the whole field of vision, the use of additional structured lighting for detecting train presence on the monitored railway track with recording of gaps between the cars. These design solutions make it possible to increase the acceptable speed of train passage through checkpoints, significantly improve the results of car number recognition in process of rolling stock monitoring as well as their reliability, extend CVS functionality, and develop new intelligent properties of the system.
