TSCA Actions SIMURs proposed for four chemical substances

On Jan. 23 (78 FR 4806), EPA issued a proposed rule proposing Significant New Use Rules for the following four chemical substances which were the subject of pre-manufacture notices (PMNs): 1. PMN Number P-07-204: pentane, 1,1,1>2,3,3-hexafluoro-4-(l,l,2,3,3,3-hexafluoropropoxy)-, (CAS Reg. No. 870778-34-0); the generic (nonconfidential) use of the substance as a heat transfer fluid; and 2. PMN Numbers P-10-58, P-10-59 and P-10-60: partially fluorinated alcohol substituted glycols (generic); the generic (non-confidential) use as an intermediate active agent (P-10-58 and P-10-59) and a surface active agent (P-10-60).
