Trinidad boasts$9.5bn capex to 2016

Oil and gas producers in Trinidad and Tobago will spend a total of$9.5bn in the next three years to increase output, energy minister Kevin Ramnarine says. The firms leading the capital expendi-ture(capex)will be BP,the UK’s BG, UK-Australia’s BHP Billiton and Trini-dad and Tobago’s state-owned Petrotrin. This year’s spending will be$3.3bn, down from$3.9bn in 2013,but up from $3bn in 2012,followed by$3.2bn in 2015 and$3bn in 2016.
