Tullow cuts Africa exploration spend

UK-listed Tullow Oil will cut its spending on exploration drilling in favour of investment in producing assets and existing discoveries. The move, in response to lower expectations for oil prices and reduced success from offshore drilling, will result in net exploration and appraisal capital expenditure falling to around $300mn in 2015 of a total budget of around $2bn.
