Uganda and Kenya agree oil route

Uganda and Kenya have agreed a route for a planned $5bn crude pipeline to the latter’s Indian Ocean port of Lamu. The 1,500km pipeline will carry Ugandan Lake Albert production and output from Kenya’s Lokichar basin, potentially from 2019.
