Case 2: Intractable myoclonic seizures in a 2-year-old boy

A 2-year-old white girl presents with . a 2-month history of a rash around her mouth and nose. On examination., she has perioral and perinasal pink papules and papulopustules, which coalesce to form thin plaques, as well as occasional periorbital papules and a small area of crusting in the perinasai region (Fig 1). The rash is nonpmritic but accompanied by a burning sensation. Notably, the patient's vermilion border is spared.
