Sugarman et al (1) published the results of a survey designed to identify existing barriers that limit research in the field of pediatric dermatology. This survey was the initial step in the strategic planning process to promote and facilitate research in our field. The publication details the survey results, which cited lack of time, funding, training, research infrastructure, and mentoring as major limitations to doing research. Not surprisingly "time constraint" was found to be the most common limitation, with 90% of the respondents citing it as an issue.
