When commercial vehicle manufacturer Krone was conceiving a new component painting line at it existing facility in Werlte, Germany,the company planned - for the first time in Europe - to electrocoat primer and powder coat semi-trailer chassis in a fully welded condition. These bulky assemblies have lengths ranging up to 16.2 metres, heights up to 2.9 metres, widths up to 1.1 metres and can weigh up to 3.5 tonnes.
