Paper output up by 2.5% in CEPI countries in 2002

In 2002 CEPI papermakers produced 90 million tonnes of paper and board-a 2.5% increase on 2001 and a return to the 2000 level, according to preliminary statistics. Over the long term, output of paper and board by CEPI countries has increased on average by 3.5% per year since 1991, an additional 25 million tonnes on the 1991 total.
