It was impossible to attend this year's Ipex without being struck by the inexorable rise in digital printing. The floor plan told the story; in 2006 41% of the show was devoted to conventional print and only 26% to digital whereas this year this switched such that 26% was conventional and 38% digital. So what were the highlights in the 38000 square meters of space devoted to digital printing, and what are the implications for paper suppliers?
