It has been a year of challenges and opportunity. We are all aware of the economic difficulties that most in the world have faced. Also the recent flooding in Cumbria has ensured we cannot ignore environmental changes and that nature can be ferocious. Your Association has faced challenges of reducing membership and key supporters moving out of the industry. It is exciting, however, that in the face of these challenges we can report the opening of the biggest newsprint mill in the world and interest from our colleagues from European Mills looking to join our discussions.
