Finns build one million tonne BEK pulp mill in Uruguay

Three Finnish companies are building a 1 million tpy pulp mill which will start up in Uruguay in 2007.They are Metsaliitto,M-real and UPM Kymmene,the owners of Metsa-Bot-nia,a Finnish pulp producer which will run the new mill through Botnia SA.The new US1.1 billion mill will produce bleached eucalyptus pulp,(BEK)for the European and Asian paper mills of Botnia's owners.
