Solid State Preparation of the (8-Hydroxyquinolinato) Aluminum (III) Complex from Aluminum Isopropoxide and 8-Hydroxyquinoline

摘要

A new alternate method is described for thepreparation of the (8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminum (III) complexin the solid state from aluminum isopropoxide. The complex wascharacterised by IR spectra, elemental analyses and X-rayspectroscopy using a compact X-ray diffraction analyser. The lightyellow complex prepared in the solid state has an identicalstructure with the one prepared by the wet method.
