Sequana to close three paper mills

French group Sequana, parent of paper producer Arjowiggins, has announced its intention to close three paper mills with a total capacity of some 126,000tpy. This move fits with the firm’s strategy to bring capacity in line with demand, reduce costs and pursue development in emerging economies and in growth markets on the distribution side. The affected plants include Dalum Papir in Denmark, Witcel in Argentina and Ivybridge mill in the UK.
