摘要

Pathophysiological studies in Parkinson's disease (PD) have highlighted pathological hypoactivity in the supplementary motor area (SMA), the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and the primary motor cortex (Ml) [1]. Transcranial stimulation techniques like intermittent Theta-burst stimulation (iTBS) [2] and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS) [3] offer the possibility of increasing regional motor-cortical excitability in healthy persons for up to 60 min after stimulation. This study evaluated stimulation-induced cortical plasticity of iTBS and tRNS in patients with PD.
