From 1 July, all new parking systems installed in European Union (EU) countries must comply with two new European Commission (EC) directives. These require operators to install equipment that contains minimal quantities of particular chemicals and to dispose of their systems in a way that will have minimum impact on the environment at the end of an installation's working life.
