Ministry seeks feedback on new environmental agency

UNION Minister of State for Environment and Forests Jairam Ramesh recently said a proposal for setting up an autonomous National Environment Protection Authority (NEPA) has been put in public domain with the idea to create a mechanism that would be responsible for monitoring and compliance of environmental standards.
