RCF shows excellent results inspite of global recession

Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (RCF) earned profit before tax of Rs 325.70 Cr as compared to Rs 242.07 Cr. during the previous year registering a growth of 34%. The turnover of the Company for the year 2008-09 was Rs. 8455.32 Cr as compared to Rs. 5228.97 Cr. during the previous year, registering a growth of 62. In physical terms, the Company achieved record turnover of 48.59 lakh MT during the year as compared to 40.50 lakh MT during the previous year, registering a growth of 20%. Previous year's turnover was 57% higher than the turnover of 25.67 Lakh tons in 2006-07. In spite of the various challenges like global recession, the Company could excel in operating profits mainly due to excellent team work and commitment of the employees, said Mr U S Jha, CMD , RCF. The company is on high growth trajectory. Many projects are under implementation and many new projects are being conceived and fructify in future, he further said.
