As the food industry moves toward sustainability, it is encountering, not surprisingly, a few obstacles, from labeling (after all, what is sustainable food?) to difficulties with large-scale transitioning. Editorial Board Member Tom Kimmerer recentlyled a dialogue with leaders in the food industry about challenges they've faced, innovations they've developed, successes, and thefuture. I'm the president of Jasper Wyman and Son and we are a wild blueberry grower and processor, based in eastern Maine,with a factory on Prince Edward Island and a partner in Chile for our red berry fruits. And still family-owned since 1874; it's the same family.
