Sustainability in higher education these days is not a groundswell but a tidal wave. As the growing membership in organizations like the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) attests, more and more institutionsare embracing Sustainability. Those attending conferences sponsored by AASHE or the Northeast Campus Sustainability Consortium are overwhelmed not only by the number of sessions offered but also the number of attendees. Sustainability has finally arrived!
