GREENPEACE India has made a request to Bihar deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds the finance portfolio, to prioritize renewable energy (RE) based electricity generation in the budget allocation for the financial year 2013-14. "As a group, we have always believed that a sustainable approach to ensure energy access to millions across the state can only be achieved using decentralised energy infrastructure based on clean renewable energy", said Rampati Kumar, chief Greenpeace campaigner, in a letter to Modi.
