There was a time when technology moved slowly, like the gears on a clock, and it was easy to keep up with the latest inventions. But technology in 2012 changes day by day and sometimes minute by minute, making it difficult to keep up. Still, there's no denying that all of the whiz-bangs of the 21st century have made life easier, more manageable and even more entertaining. They've also helped retailers improve their operations, which is especially true when retailers understand the possibilities-and limitations-of technology and use it wisely.
