NOW the proof that you have voted is set to get bigger and bolder. Amid complaints about improper application of indelible or 'voter' ink by poll officials in the recent elections, the Election Commission (EC) has issued orders saying the ink should be applied using a brush specifically provided for the purpose. The EC has asked Mysore Paints and Varnish Ltd to ensure the supply of brushes along with the indelible ink supplied to States and Union Territories with "immediate effect". A Karnataka government undertaking, Mysore Paints provides the famous indelible ink for voters to all States in India and even some foreign countries.
