Peculiarities of optical properties of rare earth elements phthalocyanine LB films

Optical properties of tert-butyl-bis-Pc of Ho, Dy,Sm in different aggregate states - solution, Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films and vacuum-deposited (VD) films have been studied.The shift of absorbance maxima in LB and VD films, which areonly 100-230 cm~(-1) compared to hexane solution, can beexplained by weak intermolecular interaction. Thus, it is shownthat LB films of H((4tPc)_2Ho) are enriched by red (positivecharged) form and VD ones by both charged with predominanceof blue (negative charged) one. The emergence of blue form inVD films can be explained by difference of sublimationtemperatures, and this is confirmed by decrease of the blue formcontent with thickness increase. Besides three new bands werefound with maxima near 23500, 25400 and 27000 cm~(-1).Their formation is attributed mainly to red, blue and green form,respectively. The effect of rare earth elements (REE) atom onparameters absorbance is discussed.
