Metal And Mining PSUs Line Up INR 15000 Crore CAPEX For 2013-14

Major metal and mining PSUs SAIL, NMDC and RINL plan to invest nearly INR 15,000 crore in 2013-14 towards modernisation and expansion, around INR 2,000 crore less than the projected outlay for the current fiscal. According to the "broad plan" prepared by the respective firms, Steel Authority of India will spend INR 9,000 crore next fiscal, followed by iron ore miner NMDC INR 4,345 crore and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam INR 1,600 crore.
