4-Fluoro-, Difluoro-and Trifluoromethylsulfongy1-2,6-Dinitroaniline Derivatives as Potential Fungicides

The synthesis of 2,6-dinitroaniline derivatives with fluro, difluoro-and trifluoromethylsulfonyl groups as new potential pesticides is reported. 2,6-Dinitroanilines were obtained from 4-chloropheynyl-fluoromethyl, difluoromethy1 and trifluoromethyl sulfides, by oxidation into sulfones, double nitration of benzene ring and S_NAr reactions with amines. Fluoro-, difluoro-and trifluoromethyl sulfides were obtained in several steps, starting from 4-chlorothiophenol. Characteristic IR spectroscopic data and microelementary analyses of the novel products are reported.
