摘要

Introduction In situ spectroscopy is the only analytical approach with which one can derive reliable information on mechanisms and the role of intermediates in chemical reactions as well as on structure-reactivity relationships in catalysis. This is also the case for the real-time monitoring of complex reactions in the liquid phase, including the precipitation of solids by, for example, the preparation of mixed oxide catalyst precursors. Considering the optical spectroscopies, infrared (IR), Raman and ultraviolet/visible (UV/vis), it has to be considered that each spectroscopic method has its distinct advantages and disadvantages. Hence, coupling of these methods provides the possibility of obtaining a more complete picture due to the increased amount of incoming information.~(1-3)
