Throughout the farming community, innovation is taking place at an unprecedented rate. Hundreds of farmers arc developing innovative ideas and turning them into thriving new businesses. Jason Persall of Persall Naturals Ltd. developed a plan five years ago and over the past three years, has been producing cold-pressed cooking oils from soybeans and canola. He said he decided to produce a product that was an extension of his crop and a cold-pressed oil that was needed for consumer demand for nutritious food products. As a fourth generation Persall who's been in the farming business, Jason, his wife Linda, and two children live on the family farm near Water-ford. His father is retired and now Jason is carrying on the family's farming tradition.
