The 2nd Annual STAMPING Journal Forum: Competing to Win With Less will take place May 11 12 2004, in Troy (Detroit), Mich The Forum will give mid- to upper-level stamping managers outstanding opportunities for networking, exploring industry trends, discovering new management strategies, and getting up-to-speed on the latest in stamping technology. The event will include a field trip to DaimlerChrysler's Sterling Stamping Plant in nearby Sterling Heights, Mich. The 2.7-million-sq.-ft. facility turns out hoods, decklids, quarter panels, roofs, liftgates, and fenders for a number of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep models. The plant employs 2,600 workers and produces more than 70 million stampings each year.
