Associations

Created in 1995, the Association Titane brings together industry, engineering schools and laboratories with the aim of promoting the use of titanium and of its alloys, and to gather and disseminate information about its applications. In November 2002 the association had 66 members. Its Council of Administration contains representatives from ALLVAC, CETIM, DCN Indret, DGA/CTA, EADS, Ecole Centrale de Nantes, FORECREU, MBH Technologies, FEREXPORT, SNECMA Moteurs, TIMET Savoie, and the Compiegne Technological University. Each year the association organises one or more "Days of Technology", open both to members and to non-members. It also publishes a quarterly, newsletter, and takes part in committees for the formulation of norms or codes of good practice. The association is open to any company or organisation concerned with its objectives, subject to the consent on the part of the administration, and payment of a yearly membership fee.
