Sat in his office with fresh cup of tea, it does not take Mr. Neeskens long to identify areas that require attention. The first point for discussion is casting quality. Mr. Neeskens: "the casting of items such as valve bodies is very much a scientific process and well understood. However, much still depends on the attitude of the people involved. So suppose the foundry produces a casting which is of average quality, what should they do with it? Remelt it? Reject it? Or attempt to repair it? If the aim is to provide quality products then ideally all items of average quality should be rejected. Accepting such items inevitably leads to variability in casting quality."
