The June US basis increases are fully implemented. Alloy surcharges are up by 24.5 percent. Delivery lead times from NAS are 10 to 12 weeks and Outokumpu is already out to November/December. Asian supply is less tight than of late and these producers are slightly more flexible on price now. Service centre activity is good. Stock levels are under control. Japanese demand is firm. Transaction prices have been maintained at the much enhanced figures established in June. The situation in South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong is similar.
