Massive 250-Million dollars Land Development Project Completed

The 250-million dollars Ascaya Residential Land Development wrapped up in August. Located in the McCullough Mountain range in Henderson, the raw land originally consisted of rugged terrain nestled in canyons, valleys and hillsides. General contractor Fisher Sand and Gravel Co. took on the challenging project in November 2004. The project was designed by CVL Consultants as a series of unique flat pads with infrastructure already installed, allowing no further disturbance to the land once the pads were topped off. This entailed drilling, blasting and relocating 15 million cu yds of solid rock consisting of cuts in excess of 140 ft deep adjacent to 400 ft vertical ravines to create a serene appearance unlike any other housing complex. The location provides views of both the Las Vegas strip and preserved conservation area.
