In March an announcement by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) indicated that no manufacturer had applied for the re-licensing of SP and thus the temporary withdrawal became permanent and no SP dips will again be available in UK. Previously the OP position was a little confused as one product, Paracide, already had a 70 day withdrawal whilst Cooper's Ectoforce and Osmond's Golden Fleece had 35 days. VMD ruled that both the products with a 35 day withdrawal should in future be required to havea 70 day. To add to the confusion any of the two products in the supply chain could be used with the original 35 day withdrawal.
