It is now two years since the industry was in the midst of the bluetongue scare. The campaign for vaccination against BTV8 that was communicated to both the sheep and cattle industries with such vigour by NSA, Defra and other industry organisations must surely go down as the best ever example of the livestock industry responding positively to a looming crisis.
