Keeping tabs on where the sheep industry is moving and what the challenges are likely to be is one of my constant functions, Due to having been under the weather towards the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005 (now perfectly fit!), a few things hadescaped my attention. One of these was that the June 2004 census on total number of lambs at 17,275,000 was very close to the equivalent census 20 years earlier in 1984, which was 17,080,000.
