HUL SALES GROW 19%; 'INFLATION A WORRY'

Consumer goods maker Hindustan Unilever Ltd reported a 3 per cent dip in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, to touch Rs.380.95 crore from Rs392.89 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. However, the company said the figures were not comparable, as the net profit for the quarter ended March 31,2007 had on-time extraordinary gains aggregating Rs. 65.81 crore.
