A number of factors have contributed to a booming Latin American market in cosmetics and toiletries,most importantly regional economic growth and a healthy overall GDP.Hair care is the region's biggest seller,but an increase in life expectancy has created a growing demand for skin care products,especially those related to anti-ageing and sun protection."If you put Latin America in the context of the world," says Carrie Mellage,director of consumer products at the US-based Kline & Company's Global Cosmetics & Toiletries service,"it's the only region to be experiencing double-digit growth as a whole."
