Anti-Corruption at PDAC, Upcoming UK Summit

One of the topics at the PDAC annual mining investment conference last month in Toronto was tackling bribery norms in foreign countries, to ensure compliance with anti-corruption laws back home. A PDAC seminar discussed recent changes to Canada's Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act. The law as amended in 2013 extends it to all Canadian citizens and companies operating in any foreign country, expanding the restrictions to prohibit more types of payments, and increasing penalties.
