China's non-ferrous metal production expanded at a slower pace during 2012 than the year before. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that total production of 10 kinds of non-ferrous metals grew 9.3 percent over 2011, based on February numbers, to 36.91 million tons in 2012. That number was down 1.3 percentage points from the previous year.
