Commissioning of new airflow-squeeze moulding plant

Schonherr Metallverarbeitung GmbH was taken over by the Trompetter Group in April 2000. In addition to the main works, Trompetter Guss GmbH, which produces high quality grey and SG iron castings on two moulding plants, the Group also owns the CNC machining Tromtec GmbH as well as a branch in the Czech Republic for the aftertreatment of castings. The restructuring of Schonherr Metallverarbeitung was aimed at the production of larger series, especially for the automobile industry. The effectiveness of the existing 120 moulds/h moulding plant with a flask size of 800 × 500 ×200/200 mm was to be substantially increased.
