A Supreme Court judgement back in April ruled that the UK Government must draw up new plans to reduce NOx emissions by the end of 2015. Rob Bongaerts, European director of transport at Office Depot, looks at the implications. Transport is the biggest single contributor in the production of Nitrogen dioxide, which is emitted into the atmosphere by diesel engines and can have a damaging impact on our health and wellbeing. With campaigners calling for an expansion of low- emission zones in urban areas and higher taxes for the dirtiest vehicles, logistics providers must act now to drive efficiencies across their fleet.
