At the heart of today's component manufacture is the skilful translation of the customer's design into deliverable product. As original designs are increasingly made available as computer models rather than 2D drawings, today's manufacturing specialists also face translation challenges of a different kind. The casting manufacturing company QDF Components Ltd of Derby is using CADfix software from ITI TrancenData to help its engineers work more effectively with CAD data from a wide range of clients.
