The genus Alciphanes Meyrick, 1925 is recorded for the first time in China. One new species, A. flavifasciaria Liu & Wang, sp. n., is described based on specimens collected from Guangxi. Three new combinations are proposed: A. bathroptila (Meyrick, 1929) comb. n., A. holocona (Meyrick, 1908) comb. n. and A. rhizophora (Meyrick, 1919) comb. n. Images of adult and genitalia of the new species are provided, along with a list of all the known species of the genus.
