On the method of images for systems of closely spaced conducting spheres

In this paper, a new formalism is developed to generate the image of a multipole expansion of arbitrary order in a conducting sphere. A method of images based on this formalism is subsequently combined with the method of moments to solve boundary value problems for systems of closely spaced conducting spheres. The effectiveness of the new hybrid method is demonstrated through several numerical examples. [References: 24]
